Board Policy 3350 requires that out-of-state travel be approved. Board Policy further establishes that the Governing Board shall authorize payment for actual and necessary expenses incurred by any employee performing authorized services for the District.
In addition, the Board of Trustees has authority, under Education Code Sections 35044, 35172, and 44032, to reimburse employees for necessary travel expenses. |

1. Senior Director of Business Services, Donnie Salamanca will be attending the NAFIS (National Association of Federally Impacted Schools) Conference in Washington D. C. from September 22-27, 2017.
2. Tiffany Bouchard is requesting approval to attend the Arts Schools Network (ASN) Conference from October 23-27, 2017 in Twin Cities, MN. CoSA is a member of the ASN and Shane Schmeichel will be a presenter at the conference. |

1. The cost of this trip is approximately $2,614 and is supported through Impact Aid Funding.
2. The estimated cost is $2,000 and will be paid by the AME Demo Day/Professional Development Grant. |

That the Board approve the out-of-state travel for the above employee, and that the Board approve the actual and necessary expenses, including travel that will be incurred.
