| | | | | | | | | Background Information: Each year the Consolidated Application (ConApp) is used by the California Department of Education (CDE) to distribute categorical funds from various state and federal programs to county offices, school districts, and direct-funded charter schools throughout California. Annually, in June, each District submits the spring release of the application to document participation in these programs and provide assurances that they will comply with the legal requirements of each program. Program entitlements are determined by formulas contained in the laws that created the programs. |

The 2020-21 ConApp is submitted for Board approval. The guidance issued by the California Department of Education requires that Local Education Agency (LEA) Boards of Education approve the ConApp by August 31, 2020.
The 2020-21 projected funding for the categorical programs is as follows:
- Title I, Part A (Basic Grant) $169,866
- Title II, Part A (Supporting Effective Instruction) $40,291
- Title IV, Part A (Student and School Support) $13,508
The winter release of the Consolidated Application will be submitted by February 28, 2021. The Winter release reports the specific allocation of funds from state and federal agencies and how the District intends to distribute funds to schools and programs. |
