			6.1 Adopt the Coronado Unified School District 2020-21 Budget (Action)

Background Information:
Education Code 42127 requires the Board of Education to adopt a budget for the new fiscal year no later than June 30^th. As in the past several years, the Board must adopt the budget before the final revenue is known from the state and the federal governments.

Reports:

The 2020-21 proposed budget is provided under separate cover and available for review at the CUSD District Office, 201 Sixth Street, Coronado, California 92118. This data includes the most recent estimated actual amounts for the 2019-20 budget, a projected budget for 2020-21, disclosure requirements under Education Code 42127, as well as a multi-year projections.

Staff has updated the District Budget to include input received at the June 4, 2020 Board Meeting as well as the recently agreed upon tentative agreement with CSEA. The assumptions utilized to develop the 2020-21 Budget include the most up to date information from the Governor’s May Revise.

Financial Impact:

The financial impacts from adoption of this budget are contained within the SACS forms for the various funds.

Superintendent's Recommendation:

That the Governing Board adopt the budget for Coronado Unified School District as submitted for the 2020-21 fiscal year.
