Government Code section 3547 requires that the initial bargaining proposals of the District and its employee unions be presented during a public Board meeting. The initial proposals between the District and the Association of Coronado Teachers (ACT) were presented at a previous Board meeting on January 16, 2020.
Now is the time for the public hearing on the Coronado Unified School District (CUSD) Initial Proposals for negotiations to the Association of Coronado Teachers (ACT) for the 2020-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreement (Successor Contract). Under Government Code section 3547(a), the Board must hold a hearing regarding initial proposals of exclusive representatives and of public school employers, which relate to matters within the scope of representation. The Board will now hear public comment on this initial proposal to the ACT.
