4.6  Adopt Revisions to Administrative Regulation 3311  (Action)
 

Background Information:

CUSD is in the process of adopting an alternative method for the bidding of public projects.  This alternative method is known as the “California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act” (CUPCCAA).  The only contracts that can be awarded under this Act are public projects and not maintenance work, as defined in Public Contract Code Section 22002.

 

CUSD has previously updated Board Policies and Administrative Regulations 3311.1 through 3311.4.  This revision to AR3311 increases the bid threshold to provide greater flexibility afforded by the District's election to apply alternative methods of bidding under CUPCCAA.

Recommended edits to Administrative Regulation 3311 are included herein.  
Financial Impact:
There is no immediate impact to the general fund in adopting this resolution.  However, the procedures outlined herein are expected to save administrative time and expense and should result in shorter implementation schedules for projects and needed repairs. 
Superintendent's Recommendation:

That the Governing Board adopt the proposed revisions to Administrative Regulation 3311.
