The Governing Board at a special meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2016, selected Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates to conduct the search for a new superintendent.  Dr. Joe Farley and Mr. Larry Perondi will work with the Board on the process and timeline for conducting the search.

The following is an update on the process:

February 2016

• Press Release was sent to the Eagle Journal
• Contact list of stakeholders was created
• As of this date: The following met with the Consultants and were interviewed:  Individual Governing Board Members; Village Elementary School Executive PTO Board; Coronado High School Executive PTO Board; and Silver Strand Elementary School staff were interviewed.
• Meetings were set with staff and parent groups throughout the month of February and March
• Questionnaire Survey was posted on line and an email Comment to Share for those who wish to make a direct comment was posted on the web: http://coronadousd.net/about/coronado-unified-school-district-search-for-a-superintendent/

March 2016

• The following Community Forums have been scheduled:

March 2, 2016, Village Hall, 600 Sixth Street, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

March 8, 2016, Coronado Middle School Library, 550 F Avenue, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

March 9, 2016, Coronado High School Multipurpose Room, 650 D Avenue, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

• Application and Brochure will be posted and advertised
• Closing date for Application will be established
• Additional Special Board Meetings that are scheduled throughout the search process will be posted
